First up is Bruno. He is one of the two long hairs. He was the one that won the Best Fat Cat Photography award sponsored by the Georgia Lottery. He is easily spooked and runs upstairs and hides for hours when we have guests.
Next is Chester. He is also a long hair. We often call him "Brown Sugar" because he is so gentle and sweet. He loves everybody. He is the one that almost hung himself when he was a kitten. We heard Chloe, the mother cat, really meowing and went to check on them and found Chester hanging in the tassel of a knitted throw that was in the room. Steve had to run and get a knife for me to cut it off. All the while I was screaming, hurry, hurry! Maybe that is why he is so sweet, because he knows we probably saved his life.
This is Ernie. He is one of the three short hairs. He, also, was once very skittish, but has really become a "lap" cat now. He is usually the first to climb up on my chair when I sit down. He usually sleeps at my feet every night as well.
Meet Lilly. She is our other little girl. She is a hunter and is always in to something. When we still allowed them outside she would head to the woods as soon as she was let out the door. This adventureousness almost cost her life as she was attacked by a coyote and had to have numerous stitches. Ever since that event the cats have become indoor cats. There were several pets attacked in our neighborhood and we just didn't want to risk ours being injured or killed.
Miss Sydney
Brittney a bit tired of having her photo taken.
Our lovely thirteen year old.
The three girls.
I adore Sydney's laughter and expresssions. She adores Elmo!
Sydney would NOT let go of this piece of red plastic!
Have a wonderful month everyone. I am going to try and add photographs of Hunter and Drew before the month is over. Let me know what you want me to add (new or old) and what you think of this "blog." Much love, MM
